About Our Preschool
Trinity Lutheran Preschool recognizes that a preschool experience is often the child’s first step into the world beyond family. Our goal at Trinity is to provide families of the community, church, and school with a safe, educational Christ-centered early childhood experience. The early childhood program is designed to meet the developmental needs of children 2 years to 5 years of age. At Trinity we provide daily experiences that enrich and foster each child’s spiritual, cognitive, social, emotional and physical development. Each day children have the opportunity to explore their creative side, develop problem solving skills and strengthen personal interaction skills through hands on experiences. We strive to assist parents in nurturing their children in the faith, while recognizing that the parents are the primary educators of their children.
Age of Admission
Limited enrollment space is still available for the 2023-2024 school year. Children of any religion, race, color, national or ethnic origin are welcome to pursue their educational and spiritual exploration at Trinity.

Enrollment
Toddlers (2 years before September 1st): Our Toddler program provides fun, educational activities that will further your child’s development. The social, cognitive, physical, and creative skills learned in the Toddler class are fostered through teacher led activities and through play. Our daily schedule includes time for playing inside and outside, and we have devotion, story, music, art, and snack time. Here are some of the emphasis of the Toddler class:
- The Toddler class focuses on learning through play. Play helps them learn to share and socialize with their fellow classmates and teachers. Play also helps them develop multiple cognitive skills such as numbers, shapes, letters, and colors.
- Learning through art, music, play, listening to stories, and exploring.
- Introduction to shape, number, color, and letter concepts (through Zoo-phonics).
- Name and birthday recognition
3’s (3 years on or before September 1st): Our 3 Year Old program is designed to ignite a love of learning in your child. In this class, structure is gradually increased through a balance of table activities, learning centers and group lessons. As children’s attention span increases, they are able to pursue activities for longer periods of time and to concentrate more fully. In this class we educate your children the same as we do in the Toddler class, but we review and build from it. Our daily schedule includes time for playing inside and outside, and we have devotion, calendar, weather, story, music, art, and snack time. Here are some of the emphasis of the 3 Year Old class:
- Learning through play.
- Sharing and socialization with classmates and teachers.
- Learning through art, music, play, listening to stories, and exploring.
- Continuing to learn shape, number, color, and letter concepts (through Zoo-phonics).
- Name and birthday recognition and beginnings of writing their name.
Pre-K (4 years on or before September 1st): Our Pre-K program builds and reviews from our 3 Year Old program. These classes are designed to prepare your child for Kindergarten. Our daily schedule includes time for playing inside and outside, and we have devotion, calendar, weather, Chapel, story, music, art, and snack time. Our Pre-kindergarteners attend chapel twice monthly. Here are some of the emphasis of the Pre-K class:
- Learning through play, art, music, listening to stories, and exploring.
- Independent work such as using scissors, gluing, and writing
- Teaching your children to identify shapes, numbers, colors, letters, and letter sounds.
- Name recognition and writing their own name
- Learning their birthday, address, phone number, and last name
Transitional Kindergarten (5 years old prior to January 1st): Our TK class is our transitional kindergarten class. This class is designed for students who are not quite ready for Kindergarten and for students whose birthdays fall between September 1st and January 1st. Our TK class reviews what the students have learned from the previous classes and builds from it. Our daily schedule includes time for playing inside and outside, and we have devotion, calendar, weather, Chapel, table work, story, music, art, and snack time. Here are some of the emphasis of the TK class:
- Recognition of letters and the sounds they make
- Develop pre reading skills
- Develop pre math skills
- Introduction of addition, subtraction, and fractions
- Emphasis on independent work such as writing, gluing, and using scissors
- Longer discussion on weekly themes
- Learning their birthday, address, phone number, and last name
Enrollment Process
To reserve your child’s spot for next year, you need to:
- Complete the enrollment and financial agreement forms located on the “Forms” page.
- Attach a non-refundable registration fee of $150 for the first child and if you have a second child the registration fee is $125 for the second child.
- Attach the preschool craft/cleaning supply fee of $50/student. This fee is due with your registration fee, enrollment form, and financial aid form.
- Contact our Preschool Director for class availability.
Upon Acceptance
The preschool paperwork packet must be complete and include the following:
- Copy of the Official Birth Certificate. This is not the hospital issued record of birth, but a copy of the official birth certificate from the Office of Vital Records in the county of the child’s birth.
- A Physician’s Report (Lic 701) completed and signed by a physician or a physician’s assistant.
- Current Immunizations record

- Report of Health Examination for School Entry- Kindergarten Only

- Custody Restrictions/Orders
- Any pertinent information (medical, special needs, or other) that would be helpful for the school
